Hi all! We have been experiencing an issue on site where threads have been missing the latest postings. The platform host Vanilla are working on this issue. A workaround that has been used by some is to navigate back from 1 to 10+ pages to re-sync the thread and this will then show the latest posts. Thanks, Mike.

Share Internet Connection

    I have 2 computers connected with cat 6 cable, is it possible just to share internet broadband connection between the 2, don't need file sharing etc.

    It is, google always helps, here is the MS document on how to set it up in XP.

    TBH you are better off not sharing though windows as it can be a real pig to setup and opening ports reduces the security of your computer.

    What type of Broadband do you have ?

    Not sure if PC world still have the Eircom ADSL routers for €25, which also includes some basic firewall features and wireless.

    And if you have firewalls on the "server" machine you have to allow the other to connect.
