have to say i was raised on the Barrys gold blend, as was my father so its pretty much the only brand that i ever consumed.
to this date, i still only buy the Barrys gold blend.

have tried lyons, bewleys etc but you just cant beat barrys imho. Plus, it tastes oh so much better when going to the family home for a weekend..! must be the water!

I'm a Barry's man aswell. It's by far the nicest. Anyone who says otherwise doesnt really know what they are talking about.

And I agree about the water having an affect on the taste. It always tastes different in other parts of the country. I think whereever you grew up, it tastes nicest for you.

Barry's and a chocolate goldgrain per favor.

Ginger tea with a spoon of honey is also nice.

Lyon's Gold Label Reserve are quite good, though a bit more expensive than the others.

Barry's Gold Blend. (None of that low grade Lyons for me).

My favourite tea is green tea. Twinings make nice frut flavoured teas. I prefer Lyons to Barrys but I have found it is very much which I'm used to that I prefer. I drank mostly Lyons tea growing up but one fortnight I got very used to drinking Barrys as that's what was on hand and I started to develop a taste for it. So, I think it depends very much on what you're used to. Rosehip tea is nice enough.

Grew up on Lyons but the missus and myself are Barrys decaff drinkers.
Even better value at the moment with +50% free!!

The only tea I use is redbush from South Africa. After four years I'm addicted. My only gripe is I have to get in health shops.

Grew up on Lyons myself and we still drink it.
It would have to be that or Barrys, but we always buy Lyons gold blend.
    Pyramid style-eeee.

I have about 40 different types at home. I like to have variety.

Barry's Gold Blend was my first though (<3) so I will always hold that special memory.:)

Joolsveer: I'm sure I've seen Robert Roberts red tea in supermarkets although that may not be your preffered brand. 11 o'clock is the read tea I'm using atm - 's nice.

that really needs to be backed up with a picture of your tea press (or cabinet/room?!)

well I'm not counting 40 but that is still pretty damn impressive!
I'm going to bestow on you the title of tea expert.

Now, as an expert which is the best tasting green tea? I like twinnings with orange as it is a bit
less bitter and smells nice. any others?

I see Vanilla Almond in the piccy, that is good stuff. :)

I've bought more since (drunk some of that stuff too, though). :)

Green tea? It depends but you should only leave it brewing for a short time. The nicest ones I've tried were from republicoftea.com - a pomegranate flavour green tea and a rice-flavoured one!

Yup, I'll have to order more. It's like dessert in a tea!
