Hi, Just a small little mod I did the other day..

I was sick of listening to my Zalman Vf-700 at 12v and although it was quiet at 5v it couldnt cool the X1800XT..

So, I decided to replace the tiny stock fan with an 80mm nexus silent fan:

    Before:

    Snip the 80mm:

Mount the Zalman bracket, Zalman used two tiny screwholes to mount their fan, but I didnt have a drill bit that small so Super glue worked great :)

There is very little clearence but just enough:

    The finished product

Im very happy with it, It cools a lot better than the stock fan and its completely silent at 12v :)

I made a Cmos Clear swith aswell but it doesnt deserve its own thread :D

Very nice. I woulda personally gone for a akasa amber fan, as the orange and copper would have gone well together...... Hold on wtf ? this isnt trinny and susanna !
