I'm sure by now all of you will be familiar with the comments about IT Carlow Students made by Judge Mary Martin with regard to our behavior over rag week.
I was thinking about what the judge said and a few thoughts crossed my mind.

Did The Hon Judge notify and make a statement to the Gardai in relation to the incident she witnessed of an old man being robbed prior to the statement she has made from the bench?

Did she offer the man assistance or seek out others who could be in a better situation to offer assistance to the attacked man?

Did she observe any insignia on the clothing or accessories of the man's attackers which would suggest that they were students of IT Carlow?

Has she since made a formal statement to the Gardai In relation to this incident and given a description of the Victim and attackers which can be used to obtain an arrest.

Have her comments jeopardised any subsequent conviction which may be obtained.

Her agenda against Students should be fought. IT Carlow keeps her in a JOB!

While Im not defending MM, its important to remember, rag week is absolute chaos. I was in the college over 5 years and each year I liked Rag Week less and less.

Why is it chaos? Because you get people who feel they must live up to the hype of rag week.

I remember one year, she banned all bar extensions or something so the rag ball was on in the sports centre, i.e she banned rag week!
