Free Southpark episode in HD on Marketplace

There is a free episode of Southpark available on XBox live marketplace. It is about a gig in size but the picture quality is excellent.

Hopefully the start of some decent content being available in europe...now all I need is a bigger HDD.

Yeah this was announced a day or two ago, i didnt realise it was happening do soon. Does it actually make much of a difference having southpark in HD?

Yeah its amazing, you can see so much detail in their faces.



It makes everything much sharper and the colours are much better. Its nice but if I had the option I would just go for the SD version instead of wasting bandwith HDD space.

You need to:
1) Create a new Live ID / Passport account, and register this as an American Resident (e.g. create a new Hotmail account and Register it in the US - e.g. California, Zip Code 90210 )
2) Create a new XBox Live ID using this new Hotmail Account.
3) The Important bit ... You need US Microsoft Points, as European ones won't work for the US Video Download content.
- The only way to get these would be from Amazon / Ebay.
- I think Amazon say they can't ship these to Europe, or so I've heard.
- On eBay, be careful that you don't get jipped by someone selling you a code they've already used.

gotta say it looks magic in HD. So much detail and the colours are much better (at least on my new HDTV).

good episode to pick to give away in HD due to some of the animation.

Its still southpark no matter what super definition its in. Hardly the best content choice to show off high def. Lets not get carried away.

No, it's a free HD video. HD Only. Will still play on an SD set though.

I don't even like South Park, but apart from 360 games it's the only source I have that's HD. It looks fantastic, I know it's only a cartoon, but the accuracy of the lines/colours/motion really shows what HD can do.

It took me close to 2 hours to download on a fairly rubbish broadband connection, really the only reason not to download.

I think it was a temporary offer. I didn't get the chance to download it when it went up, and went looking earlier this week, it's gone. Shame.

Same here - I thought it would be around for a while, so was in no rush to get it.......

Oh well... would have loved to have seen it as the only HD movie content I have is clips liked ice age 2 and xmen.
