Hi all! We have been experiencing an issue on site where threads have been missing the latest postings. The platform host Vanilla are working on this issue. A workaround that has been used by some is to navigate back from 1 to 10+ pages to re-sync the thread and this will then show the latest posts. Thanks, Mike.

I'd go with the Acer , bigger screen , better graphics , ( geforce go as opposed to intel excrement...sorry extreme ), etc.

The Acer is a far superior spec , the nvidia graphics wins it by a landslide. And it will work better with Vista because of the Aero thing.

Ah yes, but that model of Dell is not built for spec, it is built for mobility. It has a 12 inch screen - nice and small if mobility is important to you. AFAIR, battery life would be a hell of a lot better too.

So it's not really an apples to apples comparison.

It won't work better with Vista, first of all. The Intel is the GMA, not Intel Extreme. In all honestly, if you're travelling alot and don't play games, I know I'd prefer a 12.1" portable then lugging around a much bigger machine laden with features I wouldn't need.

But that said if you do plan playing games at any stage, it would have to be the Acer. Maybe let us know what it's going to be used for first, that'd pretty important before anyone starts recommending machines...
