thinking of buying a laptop thats broken...

    hi there. im being offered a sony vaio pcg v505cp for €370.

    the only problem is, there is a small part of the lcd thats broken. attached is a picture.

    is it worth it?apart from that its ok, battery life is 50 mins.

    I would say no. from what i can tell of that model its a very very low spec and you can get brand new ones from Dell at only a little more so its not worth it.

    thought so :) thanks. the only novelty was the brand name and cuteness.

    i had an sr-21k once. it was horrible to get repaired and sony have poor customer help (ie you pay to call and ask for help). they dont even ask you what problem you have: "hello, this is support. please have your credit card ready". !!

    ill stay away from that one then.. thanks for the feedback, needed that to totally making up my mind
