Hi all! We have been experiencing an issue on site where threads have been missing the latest postings. The platform host Vanilla are working on this issue. A workaround that has been used by some is to navigate back from 1 to 10+ pages to re-sync the thread and this will then show the latest posts. Thanks, Mike.

i've tried to connect the drive with both usb and firewire, all other devices worked fine.

    Checked chipset drivers just incase.

There doesnt seem to be any vista firewire driver.

Drive is listed as unknown device in the USB controlers in device manager.

I dont have the western digital software on the drive as i formatted it and repartitioned it when i 1st got it.

Any one else have this problem?

Plugged mine in and it worked right away. USB so no drivers needed. Unfortunately having it connected causes vista boot time to increase to 2-3 mins. Disconnecting it allows it to boot in about secs. But apart from that it's working fine.

ah i know what u mean robins, i just ment i wasnt using the back up software or anything else that came with it , i'm thinking this is more to do with the usb port / chipset side of things, it should work with the basic windows driver

Also i did partition the drive into 4 parts but that shouldnt make a difference.

Ok wtf........???????????????? just plugged the thing back in as i type this and it deceided to work :-)

Maybe cuz i but the driver and apps cd for the laptop in the drive to check for something else. maybe found a driver it was happy with on that disc
