Are you just trying to connect Headphones and speakers at the same time?

If so all you need is one of these:

you can get them in most music / electrical shops for about 2 euro

Or just get a cheap sound switch.

make a cool, pointless, satisfying mod switch that takes you a few hours and comes out dodgy?

or buy what conzy mentioned :D

1 other question would this not make my sound quality crappy:(

It wont make sound quality worse but it will be slightly quieter, so what i do is when using speakers, i turn the in-line volume on my headphones completely down and that basically turns the headphones off and the speakers get all the juice :D
