    Hi,
I bought a laptop screen from ebay a couple of weeks ago. It cost about 200 dollars and was sent from the states. Just a couple of days ago, I got an invoice from Fedex (the shipping company that was used) for 40 euro for VAT charges, which I assume to be some sort of import duty.

Does anyone know if I need to pay this and what happens if I ignore it?

    Thanks

Its the customs/vat charges!! You will have to pay it or else Revenue will track you down and the charges could be more!!
