Villa R celebrate the release of their debut album ‘Songs from the Apex’ on Disques Fridge. The launch is in the Boom Boom Room this Thursday the 15th March. Admission is ten euros and includes a copy of the album. Eoin will be on the show with Edel Coffey on Wednesday at 11am.

Villa R centres round the song-writing skills of Eoin Young from Budapest. The album was recorded in a week in a sitting room in sunny Drimnagh. Members of Hey Paulette, The Sewing Room, Mexican Pets and Jubilee Allstars were called upon to record some classic lo-fi indie pop hits. So lo-fi it even includes a Rolf Harris cheesy stylophone solo.

Also playing on the night are ‘guitar pop tour de force’ Crumb and art rockin Richer Than Astronauts.

Please come along if you are free, remember it is a bank holiday weekend, which means it is a passive participation work-day on Friday!
