Hi all! We have been experiencing an issue on site where threads have been missing the latest postings. The platform host Vanilla are working on this issue. A workaround that has been used by some is to navigate back from 1 to 10+ pages to re-sync the thread and this will then show the latest posts. Thanks, Mike.

QuickTime.msi install error

Have got myself an iPod and had iTunes already installed on P.C. Connected iPod and all synced correctly. Then iTunes reported that a new version was available so I accepted the download. However, I get 2 files to download, Quicktime and iTunes with Quicktime.

After Quicktime is downloaded, it tries to remove the previous version and I get an error:

The feature you are trying to use is on a network resource that is unavailable.

I'm then offered to browse to an alternative location of the folder containing Quicktime.msi

I found 2 Quicktime program's in the ADD/REMOVE section's of the control panel, one deleted as expected while the other is obviously the one that the new program is trying to unistall.

Can anyone suggest a solution? Perhaps I've deleted the downloaded file for the previous version?

windows installer cleanup - install it, then use it to remove the undesired app

    then try installing again

best to remove the cleanup app too afterwards - too damn easy to click on remove all and <poof!> most of your software is gone
