Hi all! We have been experiencing an issue on site where threads have been missing the latest postings. The platform host Vanilla are working on this issue. A workaround that has been used by some is to navigate back from 1 to 10+ pages to re-sync the thread and this will then show the latest posts. Thanks, Mike.

    hi all,

on my laptop running winxp sp2 it hangs at startup screen (im attaching a shot of the exact screen) for up to 3 mins EVERY time i boot up

it was fine last week, so i system restored, and that worked, but after a day it was back being crap again..

any ideas? i have scanned for spyware, and disabled all in startup of msconfig.
is there a specific service that searches for a lan connection on launch or something similar that i can disable for quicker startup

    system spec is

Mobile Pentium III 1.2 Ghz with 760MB ram
    cheers

Have a look in the Event viewer and see if any particular service is timing out that could be causing the problem.

you might be onto something there...

service control manager is giving error 7034 and looking back over the reports it seems to be at every boot up...

im searching for info on it now.. and hopefully a fix.. i will report back
