Hi all! We have been experiencing an issue on site where threads have been missing the latest postings. The platform host Vanilla are working on this issue. A workaround that has been used by some is to navigate back from 1 to 10+ pages to re-sync the thread and this will then show the latest posts. Thanks, Mike.

Usually I would think Bray would be able to get a draw at home but we are missing 8 players and are down to a bare squad. A draw will be a very good result for us tonight but im not sure if we will be able to get it.

Would gladly settle for a draw tonight.

Hope the updates on the official site are coming thick and fast.

    Then again, maybe not!!!

1-1 in the Kilkenny Dundalk match, the classic Dundalk comeback has begun. Sick for Kilkenny.

Not much value in Pats win at 1/2 but they were 5/4 ht-ft. Southampton let me down though in the same bet.

Just back from a cold night at Turners Cross and yet another extremely disappointing match involving Cork City. There's no doubt that we have a couple of handy players in O'Donovan, O'Flynn and Kearney but the rest of the team seemed distinctly average tonight. I thought that if Galway had a bit more quality in the team, then they could have caused us some serious problems, especially attacking the wing-backs (I don't know how many times Horgan was skinned at right back).

Like I've said already, if Farrelly and Healy don't come good this season, we can forget about the title.

Unless Brian Kerr weaves his magic I think Pats will win the league with Derry and Drogheda pushing them all the way. Bohs and Cork are losing ground quickly and I dont think either have the strength in depth to challenge even if they do start turning things around.

Q for the Shels fans, hows Walsh looking? Wouldnt be surprised to see him recalled ahead of schedule if he does well.

Fair play to Bray. Fair play to Paul Dunphy. I felt happy for you (kind of) :(

No escuses last night for City. Sure, there was stone wall peno denied, but City should not be depending on penalties to beat poor teams like Galway. Thats 5 points dropped to the two teams who will finish in the bottom two. Not good enough.

I would like to know what Shels did to Kearney. He was appalling last night. O Donovan seems to not care this season, Flynn, while doing well, looked distinctly off the pace, but hopefully a few matches under his belt, the Flynny of old will be back. Only bright spot for me last night was Darragh Ryan. More performances like that, and people will forget Danny Murphy very quickly.

Nothing. He was like that when he arrived.

Cork badly need a 20 goal a season man if they want to challenge for the league. It's that type of player that would have turned last night into a 1-0 win.

And about 9 other players, they were awful vs us all they could do was hoof it and hope Behna got on the end of it. That was vs back 3 playing together for the 1st time. Regardles of how poor galway are they are vry poor themselves specially having the best whatever in the league.

Bohs also not gelling leaving it to drogs and derry to build up a lead.

I agree, let just give SPA the title now.

City are suffering from not playing a pre season. Thats the long and short of it.

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 13,955 ✭✭✭✭Zebra3

Eh, haven't Cork being playing in the Setanta since 20 February? That's plenty of time to get ready for the league season. There's only one team who can have an excuse for being ill-prepared this season and it's not Cork.
