    Hi,

    Liam from GMIT here, decided to 'rehome' some old Rainbow Audio speakers from my Range Rover (info Here).

    Here's the plot, and I'm remodifying the CAD drawings so that the tweeter is on top of the cabinet itself and firing forward..but in the mean time..

    why bother? You could walk into Peats (or where ever) and buy a pair of floorstanders for less money than making them will cost you and they will sound much better than DIY ones. Unless it's a "project" thing in which case fire away.

    do a google on baffling and transmission lines - the boxes are not just empty they tend to have 'shelves', waddings and ports which tune the sound. Sorry if I'm stating the bloody obvious.

    BTW, car speakers are quite differnet from home ones, they'll be more forward and brash than a preferably subtle domestic speaker.
