Hi all! We have been experiencing an issue on site where threads have been missing the latest postings. The platform host Vanilla are working on this issue. A workaround that has been used by some is to navigate back from 1 to 10+ pages to re-sync the thread and this will then show the latest posts. Thanks, Mike.

I can't seem to install a game that I have used many times before. I insert it, it autoruns, then a box appears telling me that it is setting up install-shield. Then it reaches 100% for activating installshield, then stops. Then the box disappears and nothing happens.
Anyone have any ideas as to whats wrong?

Try running the game from with in the CD, ie explore the CD and find the setup file.

Its also possible that your Install Shield program has got correupted, try and install something else to verify thats its working.

Check task manager to see if multiple copies of setup are running at the same time, check to see if the Setup/install is running at all.

    Post back :)

Is installshield still running the background as a process perhaps ?

try re-registering the Windows installer service as well from the run box type

    %windir%\system32\msiexec.exe /unregister

    then

    %windir%\system32\msiexec.exe /regserver

now try it again and see if anythign changes
