The Brooklodge Hotel is lovely. Not too expensive for a midweek break and we've stayed there a couple of times (and will be again this Easter).

I agree, Brooklodge is definitely where I'd start looking first. The Druids Glen Marriott (8 miles from Brooklodge) is also extremely nice (5-star).

brooklodge is a really nice spot but there is no way it is eight miles from newtown. Not even as the crow flies.

It is a good 30 minutes drive minimum
