Teeth Extraction - Antibiotics?

It's been 5 days since my first set of extractions and the pain has gotten worse each day. I'm taking ibuprofen but shouldn't it be getting better by now? My extractions yesterday don't hurt as much. It's been 5 days since my first set of extractions and the pain has gotten worse each day. I'm taking ibuprofen but shouldn't it be getting better by now? My extractions yesterday don't hurt as much. When I had my wisdom teeth removed, I didn't take any pain medication afterwards and was eating solid food in 2 days so this is unexpected. Should I be taking antibiotics for infection? I do have a prescription but was advised not to use it unless necessary.

Ok now I have food stuck pretty deep in one of my sockets and I can't get it out. Will it cause a problem if it's left in there?
