Hi all! We have been experiencing an issue on site where threads have been missing the latest postings. The platform host Vanilla are working on this issue. A workaround that has been used by some is to navigate back from 1 to 10+ pages to re-sync the thread and this will then show the latest posts. Thanks, Mike.

    good 4 - 1 for united.

Chelsea just went 3 - 0 up. Ballack head from SWP free. so its still at 6?

    Where is everyone today?

    Watching the Rugby I'd say..

On the footy side of things, straight forward wins for the top 2, and a shock with Man City winning at the bottom..

Rooney and Ronaldo linked up perfectly today.

A well overdue victory by Wham. Tevez just can't stop scoring... :p

there was nothing hugely encouraging from the hammers today, they got extremely lucky. that was never a penalty on Tevez imo, and what made the linesman think that effort by Zamora went in is baffling.

Good win for Man City today, Barton played a great game, his passing was excellent, and on that he deserved to get an England call i feel.

Robinson's goal was hilarious :D poor Ben Foster...

United back to form, was nice to see :) We really needed that performance, after scraping wins for the last month, we totally dominated that game, and it was lovely to see.

Rooney's goal with Ronaldo on the break was the goal of the season imo, everything you could ever want in a counter attack, blistering pace, skill, perfectly weighted pass, and a sublime cool finish, incredible football.

Just puttting in his usual relaible performance. Proving his class again. Great win, especially away from home. Gives us a little breathing space but not enough.

That was a shocking decision for the Blackburn v WHam game today.

The ref was terrible for the whole game. I cant believe he got so many decisions wrong.

dead cert peno not given there for Villa, pretty poor match overall, both sides lack any sort of creativity

That was a diabolical display from both Villa and Liverpool. Terrible match:mad:

Charlton won 2 - 0. the new guy Zheng scored and made a penalty. makes things look a little better for Pardew (4 points behind Sheffield in 17th i think).

This Everton-Arsenal game is a real bore. Carsley the hit post with a great 25 yard drive but that's been it. Bit of a long ball fest. Arsenal don't look like getting a goal at all. If Everton get one it'll finish 1-0

a bloody sickener that, 91st min, and Andy Johnson scores for Everton.

Baptista what a waster of a player, a header from 6 yards out in the first half said it all.

I think it's half a million in the difference?

True, judging by the way Benitez set up Liverpool v Villa he does'nt care much about finishing ahead of Arsenal just making sure of not being caught by Bolton. Rafa, the CL is'nt everything. Really.

Well I had the 'pool down for 3 points today and Arsenal to get beaten. Then it's onto the game at Anfield in 2 weeks which I reckon Liverpool will win. There may be very little difference between finishing 3rd or 4th but it would have been nice for Liverpool to have a bit of a cushion (considering Arsenal have a game in hand) in the league to allow them to concentrate on the quarters of the champs league.

I only saw the First half of Villa Liverpool, but Villa were awful, no creative influence at all, defended ok but were hanging on.

Penalty decision was awful, stone wall penalty not given, Mascherano should have had a Villa jersey in the first half he gave the ball away more times!

Andy Johnson :D made my weekend. Thought a draw might have been a fair result. They enjoyed more possesion in the second half but we did hit the post twice.

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 3,386 ✭✭✭d22ontour

    Carsleys effort was nice.

Just watching MoTD, Newcastle v Charlton, and if ever anybody needed convincing of how good Given is, he has produced 2-3 magnificent saves in this game.
Just a pity whats in front of him is so poor at the minute...
And what was with starting Duff at left-back??

We ca really push 5th now. Bolton in freefall.

Man Utd keep up their pace and take another step towards winning the league. Chelsea keeping in pursuit but now rely on one or more mistakes by Man Utd. Good to see Shevcenko score another quality goal.

    Liverpool, very lazy.

The ladder now looks as follows, and Arsenal have a game in hand:
    75	Man Utd
    74
    73
    72
    71
    70
    69	Chelsea
    68
    67
    66
    65
    64
    63
    62
    61
    60
    59
    58
    57
    56
    55	Arsenal
    54	Liverpool
    53
    52
    51
    50
    49
    48
    47	Bolton
    46	Everton
    45	Tottenham
