A Pentium D? They were bad when they were first released, and make even less sense now with Core2 Duo's around.

And , to answer the OP original question , No , that memory is not compatible with that board , that memory is a SODIMM package and they are for laptops , not standard motherboards , here are the memory types available for that motherboard ,

    http://www.crucial.com/store/listparts.aspx?model=D946GZIS

Also , I agree with the previous poster , its a bad buy , get a core 2 duo board at least ,

And to find the memory type for any PC or Motherboard go to ,

www.crucial.com , and use the memory finder on that page , it will tell you the memory type for anything.

God, didnt realise they were that bad. this is why i love boards.
Tell the truth I was trying to save some money but I guess in the long term it will be worth it and thanks for the links.

Here a question tho, is a Dual core of 2.13 better than a 3ghz PD?
And would a AMD equilivent of te Dual core be any cheaper?

Yes a Core 2 Duo E6xxx is better than a Pentium D regardless of the Ghz speed in general.

AMD's cheapest dual core the Athlon 64 X2 3800+ isn't as fast as the Core's but is still a better than the Pentium D line though it depends on a variety of factors.

Have a look at some benchmarks.

You don't mention a video card. That's a PCI Express board and won't take the older AGP cards.
