Hi all! We have been experiencing an issue on site where threads have been missing the latest postings. The platform host Vanilla are working on this issue. A workaround that has been used by some is to navigate back from 1 to 10+ pages to re-sync the thread and this will then show the latest posts. Thanks, Mike.

I've only just started using linux this week & I'm having a few teething problems. Basically I have MP3's on my "D:\" which I want to be able to access in Linux.
I logged into root at the shell,
    mkdir /mnt/D
    mount -t ntfs /dev/hdb1 /mnt/D

when I try to access the /mnt/D directory there is a lock on the folder.
how can I get access to this folder.

Any help would be much appreciated.

You're mounting the drive as root, but probably trying to access it as a regular user. Look into the 'umask' option of mount (man mount) to mount it as your regular user account.
