Links to your website

We all know the more links to your website the more traffic you get higher up the chain you go. The trouble is a lot of directories cost money, advertising and it can be difficult to measure the feed back.

Can anyone recommend good sites for placing your web link that don't cost an excessive amount?

You dont always need to pay for directory links. Check out the solicitaions forum on Digitalpoint - plenty of new and existing dirs offering free links.

Directory links are only going to get you so far though. Best bet is to create extremely high quality content - that tactic will create the links for you.
