Hi all! We have been experiencing an issue on site where threads have been missing the latest postings. The platform host Vanilla are working on this issue. A workaround that has been used by some is to navigate back a page or two to re-sync the thread and this will then show latest posts. Thanks, Mike.

Anybody know of any nice cabinets with a sound proof (or at least a good sound dampening) front glass facia? Xbox 360 is waaaay too noisy/distracting and I'm an audiophile! :D

Need the glass facia for wireless controller.

Glass will never dampen or block sound and a cabinet will actually resonate and amplify, albeit crudely, any sound.
Is it the motor noise that bugs you? Being an audiophile  you're hardly using it for music.

I wouldnt think u need the glass front. It doesnt use infra red it uses bluetooth which should work through a solid door.

Please correct me if im wrong!

Why can't glass block sound? I've put it in a cabinet and the glass doors actually do block out quite a lot of sound. Problem is airflow now and the 360 running hot.

Get the impression that the 360 design isn't as good as PS3....

No, you're pretty much right. It's not bluetooth as such, it's M$'s own but similar technology, so I don't need the glass. Now I can construct my own cabinet with egg cartons inside it! ;)
