I been getting a BLUE SCREEN OF DEATH, mostly when playing a game like Medieval 2 Total War. This is what comes up:

    0X00000077 (0XC0000185, 0XC0000185, 0X00000000, 0X041FB000)

Just before it happen the game seems to lagg. Also my PC freezes time to time even on desktop.

    My specifics are:

    Windows Vista Home Priemium, 32-bit
    AMD Athlon(tm) 64 x 2 Dual Core Processor 5200+ 2.61GHz
    2 GB RAM
    Radeon X1950 Pro

The computer is fairly new but i think it sounds like faulty RAM from what i can gather

Any help would be greatly appreciated because not great with computors. :)

You could try running memtest to check the RAM.

Have you ruled out heat being a problem ?

Download speedfan, and monitor your temps while browsing the web, then while gaming. Or running a benchmark like 3dmark or aquamark.

Might be worthwhile running prime 95 to really stress it.

Also remove your currnt gfx drivers with drivercleaner, and reinstall the latest ones available to rule out a graphics driver problem.

Yeah ill try that when my RAM come back. I was talking to komplett and showed them the error repot and they said it could be faulty RAM so they asked me to return the RAM for testing.

Thanks a million for the help Anti.

Also could be if the RAM passes the test that it is not compatible with some of the hardware?

Hey if its not the ram you may want to check out MS resonse as it could be the cabling, the drive, failed disk array or a boot virus :

    http://support.microsoft.com/kb/315266

As error with Stop error 0x00000077 with the second set at 0xC0000185

    It states :

0xC0000185 or STATUS_IO_DEVICE_ERROR: improper termination or defective cabling of SCSI-based devices, or two devices attempting to use the same IRQ.

new SATA cables only cost about 4 to 8 quid in maplins.
