Don't really know if this is the right place to post, but hopefully someone might be able to help

I'm studying Elec Eng in UCD. I have an essay to do related to electromagnetic waves. I've decided to do it on MRI. I've been looking through the library website and googled to find books but I'm wondering could anyone recommend me a book that has a detailed explanation of the physics behind MRI rather than implementation. I'm heading into the library tomorrow and would love an idea of what I'm looking for. Any help would be appreciated!

I've posted this in Engineering and Medicine too just in case someone there might help.

Right go to the UCD Med library, plenty of books there on this sort of thing.

Here's a few books that may be of use:

The essential physics of medical imaging / Jerrold T. Bushberg ... [et al.]
    GEN 616.0754/ESS

Handbook of MRI technique / Catherine Westbrook
    GEN 616.07548/WES

MRI : the basics / Ray H. Hashemi and William G. Bradley
    GEN 616.07548/HAS

MRI from picture to proton / Donald W. McRobbie ... [et al.]
    GEN 616.07548/MRI

All of those books are available in the Med library.

If you need any help ask the staff there - they're really helpful when it comes to these sorts of things.

    Meant to add this too:

They do an MSc in MRI in UCD so they're should be plenty of material. If you do get utterly stuck there's a lecturer in Radiography by the name of Jonathon McNulty - he's an MRI specialist - he may be able to give you a few pointers.

Sorry about that. I was recommend to post here because there are a good few active members doing Radiography.

Thanks for all the help, having a look at those books now.
