Pakistan were fined for a slow over rate against ireland.

Why did they delay though? Was it out of indecision? - apparently the captain lacks influence over his team-mates, or were they hoping that it would force ireland to bat in less light? - though if the match had been finished early Ireland would have won anyway.

Most likely just general laziness. The Pakistani's don't tend to move quickly in the field.

You might have something there thinking that it was somewhat strategic. Ireland were well ahead of Duckworth-Lewis though so a stop for bad light wouldn't have given the Pakistanis a win.

I'm glad that they got fined regardless of their reasons for a slow over rate. A team with that many spinners has no excuse and deserves to be penalised.

yes,and more so ireland
