Mandarin Inn or Roma in Ballyroan. Sorrentos in Rathfarnham village was quite the epic, especially after a night down the Castle. Shut down, sadly.

The Village Take-Away used to be shocking with the old owners. My mate's Da is in the Dublin Fire Brigade, got a call out there a few years back. Turned out the fuse box inside the door caught fire, and the place was filling with smoke. For some reason they were still serving customers... needless to say, SHUT DOWN on the spot, with a hefty fine to boot.

The balls on some people, eh?

Can't believe Manly's in Ballybrack hasn't had a mention yet!

Lee's Kitchen in Dalkey, the chicken balls......droool.

As someone else already mentioned Mario's in the farm is probably the nicest around, Europa (ratzers) isn't the greatest still doesn't stop us going on the way home from the pub though :D

The Pizza slice in Monkstown is were I order from, I don't like Dominos or Pizza hut.

I don't go there often but Europa in Monkstown is definitely not awful. It's actually the best one I've found in the area when I get some chips !

Ok I may be exaggerating slightly! I changed it :D

I will give it kudos for being the first chipper around the area to have had the spice burger back!

    Baan Thai - Leopardstown.
Really nice dishes, and their not mean with the portions.

And I don't mind Silvio's so much, perhaps their service has improved. The quarter pounder with cheese and bacon is savage!

The Blue Orchid Newtown Park ave, Blackrock. Tasty, reasonably priced Thai take away.

Diep Noodle is probably the worst. I don't know why so many people go there. They managed to mess up fried rice!

Just had a rather lovely chinese from Top Tops in Rathfarnam village. Best chinese takeaway I've had in a long time, everything as it should be and as described. I'm impressed due to the frankly rubbish offerings out there in the way of chinese takeaways, very hard to find a good one.

Does anyone remember Giovannis on Woodbine road, Booterstown (now the location for Dominos), service with a grunt but a excellent chipper!

Out of curiousity, where (if any) do you frequent? I'm a big fan of Excelsior on Nutgrove Avenue in Rathfarnham.
I see this is from 2007 - got food from there last week and it was yuck.
Silvios is good for fish & chicken fillet burgers - hard to get good chips tho.
For Indian it's got to be Bombay Pantry in Rathfarnham.
And Pizza hut nutgrove is really good - never got a cold/incorrect delivery or any problems.
