Do you remember that guy that invented that mad looking electric car in the 80ies that never sold, well hes just done it again, but worse!!! hes come up with some insane push bike with scateboard wheels, guaranteed to break someones neck on the first pot hole they hit. http://www.etedeschi.ndirect.co.uk/sinclair/ABIKE.htm

It would have its uses, ie getting around a supermarket.

Brakes are a strap around a drum - see the blue-grey strap thing
    http://www.etedeschi.ndirect.co.uk/sinclair/04.jpg

*shudders* to think about what it uses instead of a roller chain - but the gearing is very low and the tyres are 5.5" or less, 90psi means that it needs suspension - and the saddle is ...

Not for use on Irish roads

can anyone see any standard bicycle parts on it, in case one had to repair it later ?

    other attempts

BTW: http://www.etedeschi.ndirect.co.uk/sinclair/ABIKE.htm are ripping you off at £199
    it's only  £149 here http://www.a-bike.co.uk/store/home.php

like Bradidup said - it's just a growed up folding scooter.

    .

You would have no trouble getting tyres, ie, ones off a supermarket trolly should fit, yes that is a big 25% price drop considering it is only just on the market. Give it a few more months and they will be on special in Aldi!!!

He's probably counting on the fact that most "supermarket" bikes don't more then 100 miles usage in their lifetime, like all that home exercise junk. Then again you won't be going fast enough to do any damage, unless you are going down hill, and then the insanity plea would be against you.

Some interesting ideas but it's not a Moulton or Brompton.

methinks it would be preferable to learn to noble art of unicycling if you want to save space

He probably had a say in that thing too, unicycles arent that difficult to ride at all, if you ever rode fixed wheel you would have no probs.
