AFAIK, it's in the boot, under the mat.

Right hand side of the boot behind the wheel arch as you face it under a black plastic cover held down by two screw-clips which are just under the boot liner (lift it up to see them).

apparently it's in the boot to help weight distribution.

also the lack of engine heat is better for the battery....

what type is it? the m type lip spoiler? if so, they are glued on and will more than likely leave a mark

Some of these spoilers are bolted on through the boot so removing the spoiler may require the holes to be filled in and painted. Either way I would not go touching it really as this could cause the boot to leak after a while.

It looks bolted on, try removing the lining and seeing if you can see bolts. Otherwise it'll be glued on and the paint will be damaged removing it.

Even if you manage to get it off without damaging the paint then there will still be a differnce between the paint that was under the spoiler and the exposed parts.

You would proberly need to get the boot resprayed whichever way.

I think that sort of spoiler is bolted on alright as the lads said above - decent option might be to swap the full bootlid with someone with the same colour car who doesn't have a spoiler and wants one.
