Does anyone know of a shoe shop in the Dublin area that sells non-leather footwear? I came across a listing for "The Natural Shoe Store", which was supposedly locate don Drury St., but I can't seem to find it. Usually I buy canvass-type shoes, but these are less than satisfactory and tend to fall apart after less than two months... I want to fit them on before buying, so ordering over the internet is not an option. Any help much appreciated. Thanks!

I've been through this fairly recently. See http://www.boards.ie/vbulletin/showthread.php?t=2055022918.
Unfortunately no joy and I too walked up and down Drury st looking for that shop...

The Hemp Store in Capel Street has hemp shoes and they look pretty good.
I haven't tried any of them on yet, but definitely intend to sometime soon.
They also have those Blackspot Unswoosher ones with the soles made from (old?) tyres. All non-leather.
The shop is at the Quays end of Capel Street, on the last block.

I just remembered the Hemp Store just after posting. Has anybody tried their wares out for size? I was hoping for some more choice though... If anybody manages to rediscover the location of The Natural Shoe Store, I'd be interested in knowing its fate.

I think Birkenstock do some leather-free shoes. If not in the shop in Dublin then have a look on Ebay or there's plenty of german websites that sells them.

Just make sure you know your size before ordering. And be careful of their other brands, In Birkenstock Betulas I'm a 39 but with ordinary Birkenstocks I need a 40.
