Nice isn't it? She really gets the meaning of the song across. Dare I say it but I think it's better than the original.

It most certainly does it justice jca. I wouldn't argue with the original, but that indeed is a great version.

The Glitch Mob-We can make the world stop

Due in part to GoPros slick marketing, I had the song on repeat for about an hour after hearing it first

Yeah when you post a you tube video...

click on the You Tube Icon (top right of new post. Its doesn't work in replies to a post).

Then copy the you tube "share" link....pasti it in between the above "You Tube Links...BUT then remove the first part of the link...

ie: delete "http://youtu.be/ leaving only 6dqVDQ-IF4Q in between the You Tube brackets..
    Many thanks,got one posted.

Think this song is definitely one of the forgotten classic irish love songs. Heard it in a great Irish Movie Goldfish Memory a few years ago and truly stuck in my head ever since..

Loads of songs have blown me away on first hearing them but funnily enough the songs I really tend to love grow on me slowly.

Heres one of the ones that I loved on first hearing.

Daft Punk - Lose Yourself to Dance (made me dance) 70's soul :)

and funnily enough Ellie Goulding - How Long Will I Love You (made me cry) not sure why, but it really got to me, must be a repressed memory regarding the original by the Waterboys that Ellie has not got a patch on

Especially about 10 minutes into it.

Wouldn't we be doing each other a favour if we all could post the link up?

What all hiphop should sound like. I had it on loop the whole day when I first heard it, and I'm predominantly a rock/metal fan.

There are so many. Off the top of my head for now though,
    Bloodbuzz Ohio-The National
    Munich-Editors
    Skinny Love-Bon Iver
    Wake up-Arcade Fire
    Getting Nowhere- Magnetic Man
    Dashboard-Modest Mouse
    Georgia on My Mind-Ray Charles
    Suzie Q-Creedence Clearwater Revival
    If I had a Gun-Noel Gallagher's High Flying Birds.
I'm just going to force myself to stop now.

Just remembered this song today, and having goosebumps the first time I heard it.
Still sounds good all these years later.

Acquiesse by oasis- woke up hungover to hear this on repeat, thought it was brilliant, cured the sick head

The road to peace, tom waits
Possibly the most grimly depressing song, but brilliant

    Where is my mind, pixies
First time I heard this was at the end of fight club...

    A forest, the cure
    On fannings fab fifty

Ludlow massacre, Christy Moore on the Prosperous album
"They didn't know that we had guns,
You shoulda seen them bas tards run"

    About a girl, nirvana.
Heard it on unplugged then on Bleach

Dancing in the moonlight, covered by David Kitt, on my red & black notebook

    BK Baby, Ben Kweller,
Saw him supporting Evan Dando in Whelans one night, he opened with this and everyone was just hooked

    Pixies- Tame.
It was the first pixies song I heard, was on a free tape with NME or Melody Maker.
    1st listen- wft, noise, shouting
    2nd listen- same as above
3rd listen- amazing, next heard Wave of Mutilation. Then thought I have to buy everything they're released.

    U2 - Bad
    Joe Satriani -Summer Song
Queens of the stone age - no one knows

Many more but those spring to mind instantly.

Anything from Luke Kelly really, what a man what a talent!

More years ago than I care to remember. The south of France one hot afternoon smoking weed and drinking red wine on a tangled bed with a beautiful naked girl. She played a song, I recognised the lyrics but I'd never heard this angelic version before...
    Jeff Buckley: hallelujah
