Extracting Information from a Table

I have a simple html table, that I am applying a filter to using javascript.

Basically it is for a sports club website that has plenty of teams.

So we can filter by team and all the results for that that team appears.


My question is, is there a way to use another html page to link to this table on the results page and pull only the information for that team?

I hope the exlpanation of what i want to do is clear.

wouldnt it be simpler just to hook it up to a database anduse querystrings?

I can't. This is a managed website and I can only upload html files.

There has to be a way of running it using querystrings

There may be some kind of ajax solution also.

it's possible, but you'd be reinventing the wheel with a not-quite-so-round awkward looking 50 sided thing that worked but was ugly to look at and not as useful.

The best thing to do is to stop what you're doing, go and look into hosting the solution somewhere that can give you database access and look at server side scripting for this kind of thing.

This will make everyone's life easier.
