Ferry from Rossaveal to Inis Mór question

    Hello all!

    How long takes it to go by ferry from Rossaveal to Inis Mór? There is a timetable available on www.aranislandferries.com but unfortunately it is with departures only.

    Coming from Limerick we can't catch the 10:30am ferry as we rely on the bus. The bus from LIM will arrive in GAL at 9:45 but the shuttle bus to the port willl leave at 9:30. So we thought we might take the ferry at 1pm. But the latest return to GAL is already at 5pm.

    Assuming the trip on the ferry takes 1h and arriving on Inis Mór at two - would 3hrs enough to see something of the island?

    Ferry takes 30-40 mins to Kilronan. Then go straight to Dun Aengus, either hire bikes or get a taxi bus. That should do yous for the first visit.

    to be honest 3 hours isn't a lot of time ... so I'd just recommend getting a taxi up .. should be a stack of them to meet you as you come off the ferry
