Mazda 6 remote fob

    I lost one of the keys+fob for my 04 Mazda 6.

    Called Annesley Cloghran and was told: about 200 for a blank fob, about 60 for a key and about 200 for labour! The car will be off the road for the best part of a day.

    When I pushed them on the labour, it reduced to 50 and now I don't really believe anything they're saying.

    Is going through a MAzda dealer my only option here? I asked if I got a remote from a breaker could it be reprogrammed... cue another long spiel about the NASA-like technology that made this impossible.

    Would appreciate a sanity check before I blow 300 euros...

    It should be approx €100 for everything!! Maybe its just that dealer trying to rip you off!!
    Ring a few mazda dealers and don't give the reg if they request it. Just say you are ringing for a mate to get a rough cost!!
