Good point about the fielding the run rate is not to high as well, keep it down and we may have a chance.
I can't state the importance of getting KP out enough though.

these few overs look crucial Pieterson is trying to step this up he may give us a chance or he may take the game away from us.

I agree. With him and some of the other big guns England could rack up a big score in the last 10 or so overs

    Woooooo bye bye Pietersen!

Keeping them to 200 would be sweet, come on the lads!

    Huge wicket.

  • Registered Users Posts: 118 ✭✭Steibhin

As a cricket novice: Is it reasonable to expect England to up the run rate over the final overs? Play less conservatively. So making projections based on the run rates is a bit pointless and perhaps showed be viewed as more of a minimum score rather than a maximum.

Also whats a decent run rate? 4.0+?

    113-4

    Flintoff in

McCallan took Pietersen wicket for 48

4.0 is not a good Run Rate for game like this

Be wary England still have wickets Collingwood on his day does what Hussey does for Australia and their tail has done well in the last few games especially Nixon.
Oh and I have a feeling that Freddie is due a few runs.

At least they are getting the wickets in order ;)

Whatever happens the Irish team have not disgraced themselves at all - made a real match of it now

  • Registered Users Posts: 118 ✭✭Steibhin

I hear the Irish fans have a special song lined up for Flintoff while at the crease:
"What will we do with a drunken sailor?"

  • Registered Users Posts: 239 ✭✭MySelf56
