Hi all! We have been experiencing an issue on site where threads have been missing the latest postings. The platform host Vanilla are working on this issue. A workaround that has been used by some is to navigate back from 1 to 10+ pages to re-sync the thread and this will then show the latest posts. Thanks, Mike.

I've recently decided that I'm gonna give DJing a shot, and I realised that I have no idea how to start out. What equipment do I need? lessons? On-line help? What's the best way to practice? That kind of stuff.

I was just wondering, with all the endless knowledge of the fine patrons of boards.ie, how do I get going?

It depends on a lot of different things. What are your priorities? What do you want out of it? Is it just for messing around or do you want to become more serious? What is your budget?

Do you want Vinyl, CD's or Laptop? If you cant' decide there hvae been a few threads about this already...

Thanks guys. I've downloaded Traktor DJ software off the net, so i'm just trying to get the hang of that for a while. I figure that i'm gonna take the cd route because it'll just take to me too long to accumulate a vinyl collection worthy of a DJ's case.

I'd be willing to spend somewhere in along the lines of 700 euro, but what would be the best equipment to buy that's good enough so that I won't have to replace it in a year, without breaking the bank.
