Hi all! We have been experiencing an issue on site where threads have been missing the latest postings. The platform host Vanilla are working on this issue. A workaround that has been used by some is to navigate back from 1 to 10+ pages to re-sync the thread and this will then show the latest posts. Thanks, Mike.

    hi all,

Just wondering if anyone knows about the live TV in the media center. Is this available in Ireland and if so how do I go about getting it? Is it any good?

    thanks in advance

    Yes.

    Yes.

You require a {specific} tuner compatible with Windows media centre once installed along with the driver you can access the tuner wizard from which you can tune in any local over the air analogue or digital (DVB-T) broadcasts.

You can also hook up to set top boxes from cable or satellite vendors and watch/record their output though you will need the MCE remote & IR blaster in order to control the STB.

For example this tuner does analogue only whereas this tuner does analogue & digital (at the moment the only digital broadcast is the DTT trial in Dublin see the terrestrial TV forum for more info.

Windows media centre also provides an EPG for the channels so that is covered.
