Hi all! We have been experiencing an issue on site where threads have been missing the latest postings. The platform host Vanilla are working on this issue. A workaround that has been used by some is to navigate back from 1 to 10+ pages to re-sync the thread and this will then show the latest posts. Thanks, Mike.

    I've been looking at a few posts which mention forming a golf society but I think to start things off small, why don't we pick a day in April and go play somewhere.

    I propose the following:

    Saturday April 28th
    First 7 people to PM me with details (further numbers subject to demand)

    If you are interested - PM me with the following details

    Real Name:
    Handicap: (state if official or society)
    Club: (If a member)
    Preferred golf area: (Dublin/Meath/Louth etc)
    Max Green Fee you would pay:

    I have a few contacts in some clubs and may be able to get good deals.
    Not looking to play anywhere fancy - just a friendly game at a good course.

    Only 5 people have expressed an interest in this event to me by PM.

    Are there any others out there interested?

    It looks like North Dublin/North Kildare is the likely area.

    Ok -so with a response that barely made up two three balls I have decided to abandon this plan.

    Maybe someday this will happen, but perhaps pigs will also fly.

    We're not - read the full thread.

    This sort of thing is way too difficult to arrange.

    Imagine I booked 3 slots on a time sheet at €40 a head and nobody turned up - I would be left with a pricey game of golf!
