Hi all! We have been experiencing an issue on site where threads have been missing the latest postings. The platform host Vanilla are working on this issue. A workaround that has been used by some is to navigate back from 1 to 10+ pages to re-sync the thread and this will then show the latest posts. Thanks, Mike.

OK - This was an April Fool's Joke - only one fell for it. Worth it though!

    What thinks ye all? Shocking.

    QUOTE:

"In a move that some golfers will find disturbing, the committee of national golf organisations has today stated that from 1st January 2010, the maximum permitted handicap under its scheme will drop from 28 to 20.

The move is being taken to conteract the increasing number of bandits playing the game.

"I think that these bandits will learn that playing the game off a lower handicap will benefit everyone. Category 4 will be done away with and revised categories will be up to 7, 8-13 and 14-20" commented Peter McKay, Chairman of the committee.

I read that yesterday and Chairman of the commitee wanted to lower it to 15, I think 20 is an acceptable limit, any lower and it would take some players out of the game. More info here http://golffools.com

I think dropping it to 20 will take players out of the game as well... Maybe they should just try and regulate it better?

I don't see how this will stop bandits to be honest... I know alot of people, as I'm sure does everyone here, who love a game of golf but on their best day can't play to any better than about 25... What're they gonna do if and when thus comes in?
