Equipment needed for amateur boxer

    Hi my young nephew has decided to take up boxing....he is 14 and its his birthday soon but i just wanted to know what gear do i need to get him so that he can participate in an amateur fight? Thanks

    The basic kit may be provided by his club. The other stuff

    mouth guard, hand wraps he may already have.

    you might get a dentist fitted mouth guard for him, they can be expensive anywhere from 50 euro to 100 euro (more expensive doesn't necessarily mean better).

    or you might still get some gloves or a head guard. .... i'm not sure really sorry.

    I'd get him his own training gloves, Skipping rope, bandages and mouth guard-shock doctor are brilliant mouth guards, After that his club should have everything he needs! If he wants to train at home try getting him a free standing punch bag. This is more than enough till he gets older and can choose what he needs himself.
