Hi all! We have been experiencing an issue on site where threads have been missing the latest postings. The platform host Vanilla are working on this issue. A workaround that has been used by some is to navigate back from 1 to 10+ pages to re-sync the thread and this will then show the latest posts. Thanks, Mike.

Hairdresser Advice Needed

Well peeps, having come back from traveling for a year or so I have found my regular coiffeur, Joe*, has abandoned me & moved to Uzbekistan*:(

(There are two things I do not like changing in my life: my hairdresser & my dentist - both have to work hard to gain my trust so when they are successful in winning me over, I am totally faithful to them.)

I knew it was coming sooner or later - but breaking up is hard to do!

So, having frequented his establishment for the last 7 years, I got my last haircut in the same salon as usual...
    Not happy:(

Normally, Joe would sit me down, talk sh1te, tell me what hair colour he was going to apply & what cut would suit me at that time: It was a beautiful relationship built on mutual respect & trust. I'd tell him do whatever he wanted & it would always turn out to be quite similar, if not the same, as what I had in mind.

The last experience was very different: got nothing I wanted, the hairdresser talked too much & didn't cut enough:mad:

    So....
Long story short, I have moved to Dublin & am in dire need of a good hairdresser to settle down with: someone out around Harold's Cross/Dublin6-8 area or inside in town, who is adventurous but in a way that'll make me look good, not just my hair;) I know I can never have the same relationship as I had with Joe* but I'm willing to try.

The last few hairdressing experiences I've had have been absolute nightmares so anything that would help restore my faith in hairdressing would be appreciated.

    Thanks a million:)

I personally think Carlin in Zoo on Exchequer street is great.
He listens to exactly what I want and it just seems to turn out perfect every time :)
If there is something bugging you about the cut (a stray lock, anything) you can go back in and he'll slot you in for a fix free of charge.
