Listen, Im a graphic designer, and in my opinion, the worst thing anyone can do is undervalue work. So Im not exactly looking for "cheap" labour, if ya know what I mean.

Im looking for an estimate of costs for plumbers, do they charge daily rates, or based on task?

Have a sink that needs unblocking, but want to get an idea of the cost. I mean I know the job has to be done, but I dont want to get shafted either.

    Anyone?

Your best bet is to do it yourself first - and if you cannot do it - then get a plumber.

    Clear out underneath your sink.
there should be a white trap - an S or P shaped trap. this is there to stop smells back flowing into your house.

Unscrew these (anit-clockwise) and see what comes out.
You may need to use an old coat hangar. Hair etc can get caught down there.

It's very easy to do and you hopefully save yourself some cash

Let us know how you get on.
