    came on the other day
does it just mean th airbag is banjaxed or does it mean its going to come out while im half way down the motor way

really cant afford to pay big money to get it replaced at the mo if its not a major issue, although the manual says bring car to a honda dealer.....

It means that there is something amiss with the SRS system. What it is is anybody's guess until the car is hooked up to a diagnosis machine. Obvioulsy, it's quite possible that your airbag may not detonate when required. Best thing is to bring it to a dealer/specialist, have a diagnosis done and then determine what you want to do from there. A diagnosis shouldn't be too expensive.

It's 11 years old. It may have just reached the end of it's service life, as far as they're concerned. Get someone to reset teh light and forget about it, or replace it.

Hi, first you gotta locate a blue 2 pin connector - it'll be found at the rear of the fuse/relay box in the drivers footwell (fuse/relay box found behind little coin drawer) It is possible that the connector may be yellow as well! You will also need a paper-clip shaped to bridge the 2 terminals.

Here's the procedure to erase the lamp:
    1) With the ignition switched off, use a paper-clip to bridge the 2 terminals.
    2) Switch ignition on - srs light will light up for 6 seconds and then go out, pull out paper-clip within 4 seconds of it going out.
    3) The srs light will come back on - bridge terminals again within 4 seconds of it coming on.
    4) Srs light will go out again - remove paper-clip within 4 seconds of it going out.

The srs light should flash twice to tell you the codes are erased. Switch the ignition off and wait for at least 10 seconds - switch ignition back on to see that light illuminates and then extinguishes.

If you get the 2 flashes to show you the codes have been erased but are still getting a constant srs light, you do have a problem and will need to get it checked out.
