Hi all! We have been experiencing an issue on site where threads have been missing the latest postings. The platform host Vanilla are working on this issue. A workaround that has been used by some is to navigate back from 1 to 10+ pages to re-sync the thread and this will then show the latest posts. Thanks, Mike.

    Hi,

we put down a boking deposit on a 2nd hand home end of November 06.
Contracts have been signed 6 weeks ago by ourselves and the seller. We are still waiting for the seller to return the signed closing documents to close the deal but nothing happens.

What can we do to speed up things?

Are there any timelines. What are our rights?

    Thanks a lot in advance

Our solicitor got the signed contract back 3 weeks ago. It's in his office.
The closing documents went out seperately after that and those are not coming back unfortunately.

it would be most normal for the closing of a sale to be at least 4 weeks after the date that both parties have signed contracts.

It might well be the case that it is a condition of the contract that a certain document(s) be furnished to the purchaser, and if that isn't to hand, then there's a delay.

frankly, you're paying a solicitor to sort this out...asking a gang of no-hopers on the interweb what the hell should be done is rather pointless...get on the phone, sharp-ish!
