    Sorry what is a router and a modem and what is the difference ?

    Just im on another site and someone is asking me do i have a router ?

    I recently got Broadband in - 3mb Business Starter i think but its only for use at home as my Dads company pay for it.

    I have this small box thing on my computer it says Netopia and the code on the back is 2247NWG,so its a Netopia 2247NWG.

    So is that a modem or a router ?

    A broadband modem with a router built in.

    (technically its not a modem though as its digital rather than analog but there called that anyway)
