Title pretty much says it all;)

I've just moved to Dublin & I'm looking for second hand bookshops that buy/sell fantasy novels.
I find that I'm reading a lot at the moment & think I should have bought shares in Eason's when I had a chance:rolleyes:

So, are there any good/ok retailers out there???
Or does anyone know of some sort of book swap club?

    Thanks a million:D

Its moved to Parnell street as far as I know, not sure if the excellent 2nd hand dept has travelled with them.

How many times have they moved now?
When I was in college I loved that shop, I'd go through 4 or 5 books a week on the train journey.
Now I just order books online, too much hassle to head into the city center.

The latest move is to a premise that's by far their biggest - and the second hand sci-fi/fantasy section is probably bigger than it's ever been.

I asked the possible owner and he said that they'd been around 20 years. I've been going there for about 16/17 of those.

To the OP: They also have a pretty decent selection of new sci-fi/fantasy books at bargain prices. Managed to get plenty of titles that I wanted to read from there over the years (as opposed to just buying because they're cheap).

Every time I go to Dublin, I arrive home with a healthy selection of books from Chapters.

Head to Rathmines. The Rathmines Bookshop, its well hidden but an excellent little shop. Its two or three doors down from the old cinema, you'll see a stack of books inside the door, just head on upstairs and enjoy. Also, every charity shop in Rathmines does very good prices on books. I go every few weeks to bulk out the library a bit more, never leave without a dozen or so books. For about 20 quid. Bit of a trip, but worth it.

I thought dandelion books was closed :(

The secret bookshop (I'd tell you where it is but I'd have to kill you and I havent perfected my device for stabbing people across the internet yet) somewhere along wicklow street sometimes has a decent selection.

Remember when Chapters had 3 shops on Middle Abbey Street?
One for CDs, one for secondhand stuff and one for new?

I used to work in the Secondhand one, where 'Book Bargains' or something is today.

It was a very relaxed place to work but there was always someone trying to shoplift at the Sci-Fi section.
It had to be kept beside the till.

The 2nd hand department not only moved with them but because the shop is massive they expanded it further. It is now upstairs as there is no basement in the new one.
