Wireless Range in Home

    Hi,

I have a large house, built with block with hollowcore, and am using a Zyxel Router supplied by BT, however the range is very poor, and the Router is setup on my PC in the office, which is at one end of the house, I have a poor/no connection at the other end with my laptop, even with doors in between left open, and I have no connection upstairs at all. I'm just wondering is it worth buying a better router than the Zyxel P600 series such as this one http://www.dabs.ie/productview.aspx?quicklinx=456x or would it make any difference??? I want it for sharing BB connection, sharing files and printing wirelessly.

    Thanks
    Q.

My problem was foil lined plaster board, in the end I put the AP in the attic and connected through floor and ceilings rather than through walls.
