Ping gone suddenly crazy :(

just today i noticed that my ping stays above 350+ while gaming on this server i play on...so then pinged boards.ie and my ping was grand around 18-20 and then pinged google.ie and it went up to over 350 just like the gmaing server..im not how this happened..could it be that utv are having problems or is it to do with me…
