    HI Folks.

On the way home from work today, the ABS and traction control light came on along with a flashing glow plug light ...
The hand book just says to bring car to authorised dealer ...

    Any ideas?

Could be a dodgy ABS wheel sensor, just remember your ABS and TC may not activate while the warning lights are on.
You could take the sensors off and clean them and their toothed rings on the wheel hubs, there may be a way to do a basic resistance check on the sensors to see which one is faulty.

ABS light indicates a fault in the ABS and the flashing glow plug light indicates a fault with the diesel management control unit. A bit odd that both came on together. Best to get a diagnosis carried out. There are so many sensors and actuators on board modern cars that it's impossible to diagnose form this side of my screen. Did you notice any physical symptoms?

    Check your brake lights.

Woudl you believe - all three lights were not on the following day and haven't show up since. The car is due a service in a copule of weeks so will mention to the garage to have a look and be sure all is OK.

    Thanks for the advice.
