Hi all! We have been experiencing an issue on site where threads have been missing the latest postings. The platform host Vanilla are working on this issue. A workaround that has been used by some is to navigate back from 1 to 10+ pages to re-sync the thread and this will then show the latest posts. Thanks, Mike.

Are there any networking gurus out there who couold give me a dig out? I am trying to connect a chorus cable modem to a plain wireless router so I can use it anywhere in the house. I can connect to the wireless network from my laptop no bother but no internet access. I have useed this wireless router with ClearWire before without bother but cannot get it to work with Chorus. If anyone can give me a few tips I would really appreciate it as I am obviously missing something obvious here I would say.

By the way. not sure if this should be in the broadband section or the wireless section so mods feel free to move if I got it wrong.

    Thanks.

when the cable modem was installed wa it connected directly to your computer, if so, try cloning the mac address of it onto the rotuer ( should be an option in the router for that )

Make sure its set to get all settings dynamically, and importantly ' NO USERNAME OR PASSWORD' which if you had clearwire, is likely to have been set.

Then restart the router, wait a minute, and restart your modem. Now try and see if you got a connection

Nope...no luck with it yet. Stupid thing. Should be trivial to achieve. Worked first time with Clearwire but just will not work with Chorus. Thanks for the tips though.

Have you tried switching off both the cable modem and router for 30 sec, then turn on the cable modem, let it resync and then turn on the router again

It needs to be DHCP and not PPPoE

    Moved to wireless.
